It's an Ankylosaurus Mamma

June 29, 2011

Hudson,

Are you some kind of savant? So, today, we were reading a dinosaur book (yes, you are still obsessed with dinos) and you are pointing out all the dinosaurs. So, first you blow my mind while pointing at one of the dinosaurs. You say, "Mamma, this is not a Euoplocephalus. It has these." You were pointing out that it had difference spikes. It was an Edmontonia. What's amazing about this? A Euoplocephalus and a Edmontonia look very similar. Most people would get them mixed up, heck most people would have no clue what either are.

Second time you blow me away. You are pointing to a
Euoplocephalus, you say, "Mamma, this is an Ankylosaurus and it is a Euoplocephalus." Excuse me? You are 3! Now you know the classifications of dinosaurs? Seriously Hudson, you are so smart and your memory is brilliant! You know the names of so many dinosaurs and you say the these very difficult names well. When you say the names of these dinosaurs, Daddy doesn't know what you are talking about half the time, but most people wouldn't.

I have learned so much about dinosaurs because of you. I have gotten to know them. Heck, I feel like they are my friends too. When you say the names of these dinosaurs, Daddy doesn't know what you are talking about half the time, but most people wouldn't.

You are brilliant my paleontologist.

I love you, Mamma
