January 7, 2011 Cotton Bowl LSU/A&M
We put a bunch of beads on you to cheer for the Tigers!! Look how cute you are!
Daddy and I went to see LSU vs Texas A & M in the Cotton Bowl at the new Dallas Cowboy's Stadium in Arlington. We went with Uncle Scott, Aunt Shannon, and Lee Roy and Leslie Jenkins. Lee Roy is your father's friend from college. In fact. everyone went to LSU, but your mamma, however, I am routing for the Tigers for your daddy. Mamma grew up an Oklahoma Sooner fan. Daddy and I will both try and sway you, but I am sure you will make your own decision, and hopefully, you will like both teams!
The day started off with a bang. Lee Roy bonked his head on the corner of the trunk and gashed it open. He was bleeding badly and we thought he may need stitches. You were concerned and went to get your doctor's kit. You said, "I want to check your heart." It was the cutest, sweetest thing! He was ok and we finally got to the game and went to Mark Ferguson's tail gate party. Daddy had fun seeing old college buddies. We shared a luxury box with a bunch of people and it was amazing! It was on the 50 yard line. The seats were plush leather. We had a great, cozy view of the game. Of course, it is hard to miss anything with Jerry Jone's ginormous HDTV that goes from one 20 yard line to the other and hangs just 90 feet above the field. It's crazy. Everything is bigger in Jerry's world. Heck, everything is bigger in Texas, but remember, pigs get slaughtered so never indulge too much!
The Tigers started the game off slow, but won 41 - 24. Daddy was so happy! This was the 50th time the two teams have met. We had a lot of fun!
