A look back. Pictures from Ella 4/13/11

Ella sent you these sweet pictures in January. The special connection that you two share is so rare. You miss her a lot since her visit her to Dallas. We tried to Facetime them, but you would not talk. You could barely look at the screen. Anni totally gets you, and said, "My sweet boy. He can't even look at us." You just have so much love and passion in your heart. I think it's hard for you to stare that love & passion right in the face when it is taken from you. You want to act like it is not there. Out of sight out of mind. I want you to be able to talk about your feelings, and we work on it all the time. I will say, "You miss Ella, don't you?" You say, "Yes, Mamma." I say, "I know it is hard. I miss her too. It's good to miss someone. It means you have so much love for that person." It's not always easy to express how you feel. In fact, it can be so difficult and easier to shut feelings out, but try not to bottle them up like I have so many times in my life. You just end up exploding! xo Mamma

Christmas 2010 Oklahoma City

Hudson,

I have already written about Christmas 2010, but I wanted to add some pictures. Here are some pictures from Christmas time in Oklahoma City.

We went to Uncle Rhoni's house for Christmas dinner and we had so much fun. You and Bailey ran all over the house. You all stacked a pile of pillows at the foot of her bed and jumped onto the pile probably a 100 times. You all were exhausted by night's end! Siti, Uncle Rhoni, Uncle Rhoni's friend, Kris, Uncle Vic, and Aunt Kay celebrated with us. It was a special night. I had to add a few funny pictures of you and Bailey going potty. Too funny! Please remember that you are 2 and she is 3 - you both are sweet, innocent babies!!! Going to the potty is a production and it is quite funny. Look at your teaso - it's the cutest thing ever made. It should be bronzed and put in the Smithsonian!

The next morning, you woke up early and laid in bed and watched TV with Siti. Siti gave you lots of bousys, too many cookies and too much candy. She loves you so much!

We went to see Tangled, Disney's story of Rapunzel. You got popcorn and candy and loved that. You are such a little boy. I love it! You love to eat. It was the very first time you sat through an entire movie. You were scared during a few scenes and wanted to go, but ended up sitting through the whole movie. Bailey loved it and sat in my lap. You ended up liking it and you liked Rapunzel a lot. What's new? You liking the pretty girl!

Siti bought you some electronic drum board and you banged and banged on it at her house. I told Siti, "You bought this for him and that's all he is going to want to do," and it was!

Family at Uncle Rhoni's house. We had to beg you to get in the picture. You do not like the camera right now, which is why there are less pics of you than there were in the first two years of your life!

Come on! That's a priceless pic! Look at that perfect teaso. I want to squeeze it. You were potty trained in two days when you were 2 years and 4 months old. You were amazing. You just have the get it factor.

You are too funny Hudson!

You and Bailey ran all over the house You were running in circles and having a blast!

Bailey is so beautiful and such a sweet girl. She is 3 years and 7 months here. You are 2 years and 8 months. You are almost a year apart. Uncle Rhoni and I were 1 year and 19 days a part. Crazy, huh?!
