I Will Always Be First...

Tonight, we all laid in the bed and talked about baby names for your baby brother. We talked about how he is coming soon and that Daddy would come to you soon and say "It's time, your brother is coming." You got a big smile on your face and you said you were ready to meet him and help take care of him. Then, you wanted to make something very clear. You said "Hey Mamma, Daddy, I am the first baby you know. I will always be your first baby," and you gave us huge hugs. I wanted to cry! So many things must be going through that brain of yours. You sense all the change. We told you that you were right. You would always be the first, and the first has a big job. You will always be a big brother and that is super cool Hudson. You will look after, teach, love and take care of your baby brother and always set a good example for him. You have no idea yet just how much you are going to love your baby brother and how blessed you all are to have one another. You are blood and nothing will ever be stronger than that bond. You will always have one another and that is a great gift. A GREAT GIFT.

Hudson's Baby Brother

Mamma got a sonogram today.  Daddy was right next to me.  We both smiled a lot and we are always amazed at the miracle of life.  It is a true miracle from God!  I am 6.5 months pregnant, a little over 26 weeks.  Hudson, your baby brother moves all day!  I don't think he ever sleeps.  He was not cooperating with the sonographer and she could not get a picture of his lips.  So funny!  He moves all the time like you did.  You both are going to be balls of energy and wear your Mamma out - but, I will love every moment!  The doctor said that mamma and baby look healthy and awesome!  This was the best news of all.  Baby brother is healthy and safe in Mamma's belly.  We can't wait to meet you baby boy Squires.  We all love you so much!!!!!

Happy New Year! 2012 Here We Come!

For New Years Eve, Daddy took me on a date to see Les Miserables at the AT & T Performng Arts Center. It really is a beautiful theater and Dallas has spent millions and millions on arts and culture - it's commendable. It was a perfect date, especially since I'm pregnant and can't drink and let my hair down! It was my first time to see Les Mis. Daddy has seen it many times and he loves it so he was excited to take me. I LOVED it! It was amazing. The performers were outstanding. Someday, we will take you to see it and you will watch the struggles of the ex-convict Jean Valjean.

Daddy and Mommy both love Broadway shows, and think, you have already seen one at 3- The Lion King on Broadway in NYC. You are so cultured already my love.

Fact: Les Misérables means "The Poor Ones, "The Wretched Poor" or "The Victims." It was written by Victor Hugo and is considered one of the greatest novels of the 19th century.

Happy New year my love, mi amore! This is going to be a very big year for you, full of change and adventure with a move, a new baby brother, a new city, a new house and a new school. It's going to be a wonderful adventure my love. Remember, life is an adventure - always new opportunities to learn and grow. Daddy and Mommy will always be with you and love you like crazy! CRAZY!
