I Came to FLY...

Hudson,

There is a song called "FLY" by Nicki Minaj and Rihanna that I really like. I like the chorus and what it says. Hudson, whatever you do, where you go, give it your all. Go in 100%. Come to win. Come to FLY. A half a man cannot get much done. It doesn't matter if you are waiting tables or running the world, smile and give your all. You are a strong one Hudson, destined for something special. You will thrive at whatever you do because you have passion and this is a beautiful quality.

FLY is one of my favorite words and I am a bird my nature (and it is also my maiden name, fitting huh?) I can see myself flying free all over the world, stopping to say hi to different peoples and cultures and then taking off again. Fly high my love and fly with passion.

I love you amore mio, my love, my heart.... Mamma

"I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive...
I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise...
To FLY..."

I'd Get Down on My Knees For You...

October 18, 2011

Hudson,

Daddy taught you the sweetest melody to sing to your Mamma. One morning, Daddy was singing "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" by The Righteous Brothers. He told you to sing, "Mamma, Mamma, I get down on my knees for you." You started singing it and Daddy was coaching you. It was the sweetest thing!! You memorized it quickly of course and you were singing it to me over and over again. You would get down on your knees and Daddy told you to point at me while singing "you", and you did. It was so cute!

That is a very famous song. My girl fiend, Korie, and I use to listen to it over and over again in college.

Fun Facts: In 1999, the performing-rights organization Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) ranked the song as having had more radio and television play in the United States than any other song during the 20th century.[2] Additionally, the song was chosen as one of the Songs of the Century by RIAA and ranked #34 on the list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone.

A Verse from the song:
"Baby, baby, I get down on my knees for you.
If you would only love me like you used to do, yeah.
We had a love...a love...a love you don't find everyday.
So don't...don't...don't...don't let it slip away."

I love you my love, Mamma

Will you Download a Song for Me Mamma?

May 2, 2011

OK, so this one was amazing to me. By the time you read this, you won't even get why what you said was so brilliant. The word "download" will be old. I would say the word "download" has been apart of popular culture for about 10-12 years, but extremely popular the last 5 with the rise of Mac and the I-pod, which might be a relic by the time you are 20, but it was revolutionary when I was in my 20s! So, we hear this song by The Script called "For the First Time" today on the radio. You said, "Mamma, can I listen to this at home? Huh, Mamma? Can you download this for me so I can listen to it?" WOW! How do you know all this stuff? At your age? I mean I mention to you that I am downloading a song, but I didn't realize you are actually listening so intently to what I say. So smart you are Hudson, my baby.

I love you amore, Mamma
