The Sock and Short Problem.

Friday 13, 2011

Hudson,

You are very particular. I am not sure if this is your age or you, and it may be both. You like your clothes to fit a certain way and you flip out if they don't. You don't like the way socks fit because of the seams along the toes, so, Mamma bought you seamless socks. Yep. So, they have made things a bit easier, however, you have to adjust them. It doesn't stop with socks, no no. You freak out if your shorts don't fit the right way, and as of now, almost all of your shorts don't fit the way you want them to. I am not sure what the issue is. You go through 3 to 5 pair before you can find one that feels good. Your shoes cannot be too tight or you simply won't wear them. I got you these flip flops that have straps on the ankles. You liked them the first day, but now the strap bothers you and you won't wear them.

I always say, "Are we going t have the sock problem? The short problem?" So, it's almost kind of a joke at this point. You grab your socks and say, "Sock problem!" You have thrown such major fits over clothes and shoes not fitting right, I have to walk away at times. I tell you, "I am going to go get dressed and when you calm down, I will come back in here and help you." Lately, we'll put on your socks and you say, "Mamma, go in the other room until I get them fixed." It's really cute actually. I walk out and you adjust. It's almost like you know it's crazy and you just want to be alone to work it out yourself and not put anyone else through it. So sweet!

Tonight we went to dinner at a restaurant and it is definitely Friday the 13th! You started freaking out because of a watch you were wearing. You had been wearing it for 30 minutes and all of a sudden it was wrong. You freaked. "My watch, no Mamma! Not that way. My watch! No! My watch! I don't like it!" You got on the floor and started balling. Daddy and I had to take turns carrying you out of the restaurant. You haven't done anything like that in a restaurant since you were a baby. We realized too that you must have allergies. They are bad this time of year and your eyes were so red (might have been the crying) and you could not breathe. I have them terribly right now. But, you went right to sleep at 7:20. You were exhausted. I think the allergies of Dallas, Texas have gotten my baby.

Oh my love, you are something else. I love you my baby, with all my heart, sock or short problem, you are my angel.

Mamma
