There's a Pterodactylus in our House! 3-1-11

Dino Hudson,

Presently, you are super into dinosaurs. I am not sure it will last, maybe, maybe not, but I think it is great. You know the names of all these different dinosaurs. You are teaching me! It's crazy to me being that you are not even 3. You are very into this television show, "Dino Dan", which I have written about before. We were watching it and you tell me afterward, "A Pterodactylus and a T-Rex are the same thing." I said, "That's right baby. They are both dinosaurs." You gave me a huge smile and said, "I get it. I get it." Whoa. Ok, a Pterodactylus, and you said it with no problem.

In that particular episode, there was a baby Pterodactylus stuck in Dino Dan's attic. He searched for it, found it and led it out the front door. After the show, I taped a small light to your construction hat (Dino Dan wears hat with a head lamp) and we searched for the Pterodactylus for two hours in the house and in the attic. We left it food in the kitchen and it flew all over the house. You had a blast. We get creative my love. You have a wonderful imagination. Never lose it.

I love you my Paleontologist, Mamma

Factoid - A Pterodactylus is actually the first to be named and identified as a flying reptile. It lived during the Jurassic period about 150 million years ago - wow!
