You Been Accepted to All Schools! 3-11-2011

Hudson Hudson, my intelligent and sweet Hudson,

We applied to many schools and you have been on the waiting list at some schools since you were a a baby (crazy). You have taken a speech test, you went to three play date interviews and also had two one on one interviews. I was anxious and worried a lot about the one on one interviews, because I couldn't go into one of them, however, you did fantastic and I knew you had done well afterward! I am not surprised you got into ALL THREE of these schools! Hudson, Daddy and I are so very proud of you. So very proud!! These schools are NOT easy to get into. Most parent are happy if their child gets into one. During the interviews, they basically assess you and where you are. If you are not ready, they don't accept you and kindly say, "Your child is not ready at this time." I knew this wouldn't be the case with you. I witnessed your speech test and I saw how incredible you did at all your play date meetings and interviews - and you had fun! I wanted to make them fun for you, but you did that yourself, because you are a natural with people and teachers.

I finally got to see the results of your speech tests when the acceptance packets arrived. We had done that speech test like 9 or 10 months ago! You were "Above Average" on auditory and comprehension. There is no higher category. WOW! Daddy and I are just so very proud of you!

Hudson, many kids get into these schools because they are legacy's (their parents attended the school) or because their parents have connections. We are not legacy's and we do not have a lot of connections here in Dallas. I have only been here for 3 years. I have worked on schools for so long. I feel so extraordinarily proud of the work that we have done, but you did most of it! You got into these schools by yourself - because of your personality, your intelligence and your ability to work well with others. Hudson you have been smart from the beginning and it has been very obvious to our friends and family. You just get it. You have always been physically advanced. You are intuitive, a thinker and you learn quickly. You crawled early, walked early and talked early.

It is important for you to know something - Daddy and I would not have cared if you got into any of those schools. That is from the heart. We would have been just as proud of you. You could have stayed at the sweet school you are at. We did this because we want you to have every opportunity to go to a fine school and get an excellent education. Remember that knowledge is power. You are so very fortunate that you get to attend a great school. Many children all over the world would love to be in your place and are not afforded the opportunity. Never take your education for granted. I wish I could go to school everyday! I always loved school.

Hudson, we don't want you to ever feel any pressure. Daddy and I will always be proud of you and support you - ALWAYS, NO MATTER WHAT. You do not have to be the best at everything, just do the best you can and don't waste your talent or your brain, because you have been blessed by God with those things.

Mamma and Daddy are SO VERY PROUD of you my love,

Mamma

p.s. Always use your imagination - you have a very powerful one Hudson. You love pretend play and you write your own songs!
