Sweet Henry at Bath Time

You love bath time! You are such a good boy in the bath. I pour the water over your head and you don't cry. Hudson was the same way. I think you like the warm water. Hudson likes to get in with you. It's precious! And the sometimes he just helps pour the water over you. He loves his brother so much!

Bruce Museum in Greenwich
August 27, 2012
Today our family went to the Bruce Museum in Greenwich. First, we discovered this beautiful park across the street. It was one of the nicest parks I have ever seen for kids! Then, we went to the museum, which didn't turn out to be great for kids, however there were some dinosaur statues outside of the museum that got Hudson excited. You sat on the Pachyrhinosaurus. I read the plaque and discovered that it's name means "thick-nosed lizard." I got so excited because I discovered that's how Mr. Thicknose got his name on "The Land Before Time" series, which Hudson loves!
It was a fun family day!

Hudson and His Oldest Friend, Ella
Today, Anni, Ella ad Karli came to the club with us. They are in Darien, CT visiting Brad's parents so they came to see us! We love and miss them so much and it's always so special to see them. You and Ella have a very special friendship Hudson. You love and care about one another and it's so sweet! She thinks you are hilarious and laughs at everything you do, which you love. She gets you and always has. How is this possible at 4? I'm not sure, but she just gets you. You all met in Dallas and have been friends since you were 4 months old. Today, Ella told you, "Hudson, I am going to marry you." Have you ever heard anything more innocent, precious and sweet? You replied, "Oh no! I'm never getting married!" Too funny. Oh Hudson, how that will change! How that will change my love! You told me, "Mamma, Ella said she loves me." I said, "Well, tell her you love her too," and you said, "I love you too and I have missed you Ella." So beautiful!

Henry's First Nap in His Crib

Henry,
Today you took your first nap in your crib. It was your first time to sleep in your crib! You slept for over 2 hours. You looked so peaceful. Swaddling you is important because you don't have much control over your arms and body yet so you kind of wiggle and drive yourself crazy if are you are not swaddled! Hudson was the same way.
You were used to being all cuddled up and warm in your Mamma's belly. Aw baby! I miss you kicking me and wiggling all around!

Hudson is a Hard Worker!

Hudson- You are a hard worker and a great helper! You went and got the cutting shears and cut all the weeds and dead plants out of the front garden. You got a trash bag and cleaned everything up. When you want to help, you truly do a great job! You are a doer and that's an amazing trait.

First Family Hike at Todd's Point

Today we went on our first family hike at Todd's Point. It was fun exploring together! There are all these great hiking trails around the beach. Daddy carried John Henry in the baby bjorn an he slept the whole way. Hudson and I climbed the rocks that lined the beach and we all hiked the trails. It's fun exploring our new town. Hudson, you kept saying you wanted to go to the hiking cliffs that we used to hike and Daddy told you that was in Crested Butte. It was so cute!

Fun at The Carnival in Cos Cob

Tonight, there was an annual fair put on by St Catherine's Church in Cos Cob. We had so much fun!!! Daddy and I told you we were taking you in a Mommy, Daddy and Hudson date and that we were taking you to a carnival and letting you stay up late. You got so excited! I haven't seen you get that excited in awhile. Daddy rode the first ride with us called the "Tornado" and it almost made him sick. I went on the rest of them with you and we rode the tornado two more times. That was your favorite. You won the horse racing game and got a stuffed animal. You also got cotton candy, which you love. It was really a special night.

Summer 2012 - A Great Day at The Beach

Henry is 13 days old today. This is his second time at Todd's Point Beach in our new hood in Old Greenwich, CT. He's already a beach baby! He just chills and sleeps.
Hudson has a new friend. Her name is Rachel and she is 13. She is the daughter of a our realtor's friend. This is the third time she has played with Hudson. He loves to play with her. Hudson loves to play with any child that is older because Hudson wants to be older. She even plays pirates and dinosaurs l with him, which he loves!
