Our Pirate Ship for Halloween

October 1, 2011

Hudson,

So, October is here. Halloween decorations, pumpkins, witches, and all that. You get so excited when you see Halloween decorations, "Mamma, look, Halloween decorations (yes, you say decorations)!!!" Here in Highland park, Texas, people are very festive. Many houses out these giant Halloween blow ups in their yard. You want to go by them everyday. "Mamma, can we go see my Pumpkins, hoses and cats?" So, we walk or drive by them and you have to go up and touch them. This one house has a giant, and I mean giant (as tall as the house, no joke) black cat blow up and also a pirate boat with skeleton faced pirates. This other house has a horse and pumpkin carriage blow up (also huge) with blow up spiders and ghosts." As they say, everything is bigger in Texas (no joke). When we first moved here, honestly, I thought it was a bit tacky and never thought I would have one.... HOWEVER, then my sweet baby, Hudson came into out lives and everything changed.

Daddy was set on getting you lots of Halloeen decorations and a big blow up pirate ship. We went to a couple of places, but they didn't have an. Then, we found out that Lowe's had some and you and Daddy went together to buy the blow up. Daddy said you saw it and went crazy. "I want that one Daddy. That one!" So, $15o later, the Halloween blow up stands in our yard. You are so excited about it. Daddy was so excited too. He went a long way to make you happy and make our house festive. He loves you so much!

I love you my festive boy, Mamma
